Full Description

A flint barbed and tanged arrowhead was picked up on Sunday July 17 2005 while the finder was walking on the main path near Kinder Downfall (findspot approx. SK 0745 8925). There had recently been thunderstorms in the area and the rain had churned up the ground and eroded the peat on the edges, probably washing out the arrowhead. Photographs show the arrowhead to be about 3cm long, with a broken point and damage to both barbs. (1)
