Full Description

SK 33397 45584. The location of a public water spout that issued water from a spring into a drinking trough with the following inscription: 'Erected by subscription in the 60th year of H M Queen Victoria's reign 1897'. The structure is constructed from local stone and is unique in the area. For over fifty years it was the main source of fresh water in the village of Hazelwood. It is still an important reserve water supply in times of drought. (1)
