Full Description

Mile Post, Green Lane. Drum-headed, stick-type mile post made by John Harrison's Foundry, Bridge Gate. (1) Milepost, cast iron, circular sections. "Burton 11 miles". By James Haywood & Son? See John Heath "Iron Street Furniture" in Derbyshire Life Vol. 44 No. 47, 1979, P47. (2) Cast iron circular section milepost, near Gower Street. Manufactured by Derby firm Harrison circa 1830. (3)
