Full Description

Alfreton Road Bridge. Four arch skew bridge built by North Midland Railway in 1839 taking the Alfreton Road over the Derby-Leeds main line. (1) A grade II listed three-span skew overbridge carrying the Alfreton Road, built 1836-40 for the North Midland Railway to the designs of George and Robert Stephenson with Frederick Swanwick.
