Full Description
Bridge Parapet, King Street, Derby. The remaining parapet of a series of bridges taking the Great Northern Railway Derbyshire Extension Railway under a series of streets before the viaduct between Lodge Lane and Friar Gate Station. It consists of 13 panels of wrought-iron plates almost six feet in height, the vertical joints covered with ornamental pilasters of cast-iron, only 3 and a half of which survive in position. (1)
