Full Description

Circular cast iron milepost near no.193 Nottingham Road, Spondon. (1) Mile Post, Nottingham Road, Spondon. Drum-headed stick type mile post by Harrison of Derby - 'Derby 4 miles, Nottingham 12 miles'. (2) This cast-iron milepost stands on the north side of the Derby/Nottingham road. Lettering on the drum shows 'DERBY / 4 / MILES' and 'NOTTM. / 12 / MILES'. 'HARRISON DERBY' is written vertically on the post. (3)
