Full Description

Further surviving buildings of note were present by the middle of the 19th century. Immediately south-west of the stables, a tall single-storeyed building, open-fronted to the east, is of uncertain function, but may be the precursor of later drying sheds. (1) The mill closed in the late 1960s but still flourishes after a fashion, split up into smaller industrial units. (2) Open-fronted store, now owned by Kevin Smith. Single-storey range built between 1835-1846, may have been designed as a hay barn in association with the stable building. Original slates and ridge-mounted ventilators replaced with concrete tiles.
