Full Description

A small sherd of ?Grooved Ware pottery, Neolithic in date was found in the top corner of a field at SK 1768 5917 in or before 1977. (1). A rectangular slate wristguard, with triple perforation at each end, measuring 78mm long and 33mm in breadth was found slightly further down the hill from the potsherd. It dates from the Bronze Age. The two artefacts may have come from a Beaker burial. (2).
