Full Description

Roman Coin found during excavations at Derwent St Bridge, Derby, 1929. (1) Location of find assumed to be Exeter Bridge, as recorded on Derby City Museum Location Map. However it is noted that Derwent Street Bridge is not used on old series OS 25" maps as the name for Exeter Bridge, and that Derwent Street crossed the canal by bridge at its north-east end via an unnamed bridge. (2)
