Full Description

Large coarse barrel-shaped pot, 7in base, sagging; bung hole; brown crude glaze; date 15th/16th century? Found at Odeon Cinema site in St Peter's Street, Derby, in 1956. Two bases and a bodysherd from medieval jugs; dark green glaze, c.13-14th centuries; found on site next to Odeon Cinema, St Peter's Street, in 1956. [Consecutive museum numbers suggest that these finds are from the same site.] Another green glazed jug (unmarked, RSL-248) with finger-impressed rosettes probably belongs with this collection (1)
