Milestone, Common End, Main Road, Holmesfield, a mid-19th century structure.
'Rectangular milestone, painted white, with lettering under two adjacent arches: GLEADLESS/7/MILES and CALVER/7/MILES.' (1)
'Milestone almost opposite Common End Cottages, on the south side of a former turnpike road. The stone is 21" wide, 4" deep and has a visible height of 16". It may date from c1818.' (2)
