Full Description

Large collection of Neolithic flint from this area including over 60 flakes and blades with three cores and 13 flakes with secondary working, horseshoe scrapers and saws. (1). From the area of Hawkstow (sic) Farm (SK 172562) was a collection of Neolithic and Early Bronze Age flint implements, cores and flakes, including scrapers, blades and arrowheads. It had been in Derby Museum for many years and was recently catalogued. (2). The findspot has been plotted on the map near Hawkslow Farm although the precise location is unknown. (3).
