Full Description

Much of the western side of Heath Wood, which faces Foremark Hall, is bounded by a ha ha formed by a stone revetment along the edge of the wood, with a ditch on its west side. A substantial stone quarry at the north-east corner of the wood may have been opened to provide material with which to build the stone revetment to the ha ha, as wel as the drystone wall down the east and south-east edges of the wood.
