Full Description

The eastern end of this large house was once a small brick cottage, probably built in the late 18th century; the western end was built in the 1980s and replaced a 19th/early 20th century extension. The original cottage was probably built by the owners of No. 39 adjacent, to house a family connected with this larger house, perhaps when it was a posting inn, the cottage being intended for servants.
