Full Description

Park Mill is marked on Sanderson's map of 1835, with the mill building lying on the south side of the road and a relatively small mill pond on the north side, fed by a long leat from the north. (1) It is shown as 'Park Mill (Corn)' on the 1st ed. 25" OS map of c. 1880. (2) The mill building is depicted, but not named, on the 2nd edition of 1900, and the mill pond is no longer shown except as a slight earthwork. (3) By the time of the 3rd edition, in the early 20th century, the mill building itself had clearly been demolished. (4)
