Full Description

During work on dry stone walls east of Pilsbury Castle a Neolithic polished stone axe was found in or before 2006 amongst the existing walling material. The axe is more-or-less intact apart from surface damage, some of which may be recent. It appears to be of Langdale material. (Max dimensions are 22½cm by 8.2cm by 5.8cm. (1).
