Full Description

One-and-a-half-storey house with various additions to the east side, standing end-on to the Derby Road. The southern part of the house was probably built towards the end of the 17th century, and a generation later the eaves were raised and roof rebuilt. Shortly afterwards the northern room was built and then the outshot along part of the east wall. An east wing was added in the later 20th century. The shape of the chimney shows that it was once part of the Calke Estate. (1)
