Full Description

Quarry recorded in Lumb Wood during a survey carried out in 1984. (1) The quarry appears to have been in use in the 1880s, as it is shown on the 1st ed. 25" OS map, but had gone out of use by the end of the century, being marked 'Old Quarry' on the 2nd edition. (2, 3)
