Full Description
The brick barn, erected in one build with the stable, was designed to store and thresh grain. It is of particular interest because tree-ring dates were obtained from the timbers by Robert Howard of Nottingham University Tree-Ring Dating Laboratory in 1991. This showed that the last timbers used in the barn had been felled in spring 1752, and the barn was probably erected soon after. (1, 2)
