Full Description
This is a two-storey, five-bay mansion facing southeast across spacious grounds on the north side of the road from Willington to Hilton. It is built of red brick with stone dressings and a tiled roof. Standing back from the house runs a long low stable range that has been gutted, and on the east side of the house are footings for a projected extension. The general appearance of the main house from the outside is of an early 19th century villa, but the staircase is the only internal element in keeping with this date, the rest being Edwardian or later. The present proposal is to convert the buildings into a rehabilitation centre for hospital patients. (1)
