Full Description

The 1880 Ordnance Survey map shows an 'old lead mine' here, in other words a mine shaft. Although no mine shaft was located during a survey of the area in 1998, there was a 'lumpy area' c. 0.3m high which may be the remains of lead mining waste hillocks. (1)
