Another undamaged cast-iron milepost on the old Chesterfield-Buxton turnpike road west of Chesterfield.' (2) From the National Heritage List for England: 'WALTON SK37SW BASLOW ROAD 1264-0/2/122 (South side) Milepost to west of junction with Chander Hill Lane II Milepost. Probably early C19. Cast iron. Cylindrical, on a cylindrical stem, and with a top which is domed in the centre. Below the top 'LONDON 154' is inscribed in raised letters.
