Full Description

A large amount of pottery waste was found in the field behind the Green, Ticknall. The dump was substantial enough to have come from a nearby kiln, probably working during the 18th century. At present there is no documentary evidence for a pottery here, nor a date when a pottery near here was working. An outbuilding is shown on early 19th century maps, part of which was still there in 1882. (1)
