Full Description

Built 1794 to 1796 as a level crossing linking the road from Upper Crist and Weston to Jane Lane and thence Chinley, crossing the Peak Forest Tramway and a southerly line serving the early Crist Quarry faces. Extended as a dog-leg to cross the elevated branch line in the 1860s. (1)
