Full Description

Gritstone quarry, possibly in use until about 20 years ago. Former siding on Buxton railway now removed. Postdates 1889 OS map; it never had a Peak Forest Tramway link. (1) 3rd edition OS 25" map, printed between 1904 and 1939, maps "Brick Works (Disused)" and "Old Clay Pit" at this location. Not shown on 1st and 2nd editions. (2)
