Full Description

High limestone ridge quarried to create deep cutting for Peak Forest Tramway extension from Loads Knowl in the late 1790s. On west side a steep limestone face, about eight metres high with a four metre bed at the top. East side lower with undulating thinner beds of limestone, and short retaining wall above. (1)
