Full Description
Line of Midland Railway Doe Lea Branch. The trackbed of the former Doe Lea Branch is now followed from the head shunt of the operating line by the 'Stockley Trail', a walkway/cycle track to Glapwell. (1)
The northern section of the Doe Lea Branch, from Staveley parish south into Bolsover parish, is shown on 1st ed OS 25" of c. 1880. The whole line south to Pleasley Colliery Junction is shown on the 2nd edition. The southern section is shown as dimantled on current mapping (2006). (2)
