Full Description

Barlborough Colliery. Residual buildings of the former Barlborough Colliery now used by Oxcroft Engineering (1999). They are single storey and largely derelict but one is unusual being constructed partly of slag. The main colliery site has been landscaped and is partly a golf course. (1) The area is shown on 1st and 2nd eds OS 25", but is mapped using the 3rd ed. 25" OS. Buildings are not shown on current (2006) mapping indicating they have been demolished. (2)
