Full Description

Station buildings of the former Tibshelf and Newton station on the branch from Westhouses to Mansfield Woodhouse; single storey brick buildings with slate roofs. The line was closed completely in c.1990 with the closure of Silverhill and Teversal collieries. (1) Tibshelf and Newton Station is first shown on the 2nd ed. OS 25" at its present location. The original Newton Road Station building (SMR14018) is shown on 1st ed. OS 25" a little to the west. (2)
