Full Description
Poolsbrook Industrial Housing. Poolsbrook model village was built be Staveley Coal and Iron Company for workers at Ireland Colliery in particular. All that remains of the 1890s village, which was built to a grid plan, is the Poolsbrook Hotel, a truncated row of two cottages, a Methodist Chapel and the Mission Church, which in 1999 was in the course of being altered.
