Full Description
Isolated row of Midland railway housing adjacent to the Swarkestone-Weston road close to the site of the junction with the former Melbourne branch with the Sawley-Stenson line. Brick with slate roofs and ornate Gothick-style windows and decorative brick courses. (1)
Shown on the 1st ed. 25" OS map, so constructed before c. 1880. Possibly built for workers at the nearby quarry [SMR 27716]?
