Ilkeston: The Ilkeston School (Secondary), King George Avenue. 1911. Large square quadrangular plan with domed central hall linked by covered walks to the four sides. See New Mills for identical plan. (1) Built between 1910-1914 by G H Widdows, the Ilkeston School has been identified as having been built in a 'Art Nouveau' or 'Arts and Crafts' style. (2)
