Allestreefirs is shown on 1st ed. 25" OS map of c.1880, labelled "Allestree Firs" subsequently. (1-3) It was in existence by 1836, as it is shown on the Ordnance Survey 1st ed. 1" map of 1836, where it is named 'The Firs'. (4)
