Full Description

A worn stone, stated to be an original turnpike milestone, was recorded by the roadside in 1980. At that time it was leaning considerably and in need of re-erection and protection from passing traffic. (1) This is marked as 'Stone' on the 1st ed. 25" OS map (2) but is not shown on the 2nd ed. (3)
