Full Description
The buildings of 'Granby Works (Leather)' are marked along the eastern boundary of the site on 1st ed. OS 25" map of c. 1880, with buildings and grounds labelled 'Parcelfield' occupying the western part. (1)
'Granby Works (Leather and Parchment)' still shown along the eastern boundary on 2nd ed. OS 25" map of c. 1900, with a new large building, labelled 'Skin Works', occupying the rest of the site and replacing Parcelfield. (2)
'Granby Works (Leather)' shown on 3rd ed. OS 25" map of c. 1920, an amalgamation of the buildings shown on the 2nd ed. (3)
Buildings are shown on this site on Sanderson's 1835 map 'Twenty Miles Round Mansfield', and on the 1852 Board of Health map where they are marked 'Parcel Fields'. 2007 mapping shows a building on the site which appears to incorporate earlier buildings. (4)
