Full Description
Swanwick Colliery Railway is shown on late 19th century maps (1, 2) running north from a junction with the Ambergate & Pye Bridge branch of the Midland Railway up to Swanwick Colliery. However, at least part of the railway line pre-dates the construction of the Midland Railway as it is shown on Sanderson's map of 1835. (3)
