Full Description

Two small square 'Celtic type' fields which have also been described as earthwork enclosures have been identified from an aerial photograph. (1,2). Dam Lane Romano-British field system. Visible components include lynchets, earthen and stone banks, ditches, terraces and possible rectilinear enclosures. The dating evidence is based on the rectilinear shape and association of the platform with those in the fields. (3).
