Full Description

London Road, Wilmorton, Wilmorton Board School. One of Derby's few surviving Board Schools, dated 1894 on the shaped central gable. Mainly single-storey, brick and stone. Built for the Alvaston & Boulton Local Board School Board to serve the small enclave called Wilmorton. Begun on land made available by the Wilmot Horton family of Osmaston Hall from 1877. (1)
