Full Description

Nos 127-129 Whitaker Road comprises a pair of semi-detached large villas by Naylor & Sale. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and show a staid Arts and Crafts influence. (1) A large pair of three storey semi-detached late Victorian houses with mock Tudor decoration and bargeboards with finials on the gable end to the road. The shared large dormer has mock timbers and casement windows. There are sash windows, plain and multi-paned, and a slate roof with clustered chimneys. The houses were designed by Naylor & Sale in 1898 and are very typical of the firm’s domestic work. (2)
