Full Description

Passenger traffic over the Mansfield to Worksop branch of the Midland Railway commenced on June 1 1875 from Mansfield Town station. Following the Beeching Report, passenger traffic ceased in 1964, although the line continued to be used for goods traffic. It was re-opened fully as part of the Robin Hood Line in 1998, with new stations at Shirebrook, Langwith-Whaley Thorns, Creswell and Whitwell.
