Full Description

Ratchwood Mine - Founder Shaft. Remains include a large flat-topped hillock with a lidded shaft, an overgrown gin circle with footings of a wall to one side and a small ruined coe in the hillock side. Ratchwood Mine lies 300m to the south and was in use between the 1740s and the 1860s [see SMR 15589]. (1)
