Full Description

Greensdeep or Bugsworth New Road Bridge is a stone bridge carrying the road to Bugsworth and Chinley over the Peak Forest Canal. (1) Greensdeep bridge is one of a number of arched bridges along the Peak Forest Canal that was built between 1794 and 1804 and that has been little altered since erection. It was originally an accommodation bridge to connect to farm fields after the canal was cut and open. (2)
