Milepost opposite sewage works, Derby Road, Horsley, erected c1840. 'Cast iron milepost with a triangular sectioned base. The east side is inscribed 'DERBY / 5½ / BURTON / 17' and the west side has 'ALFREn / 7½ / CHESTERd / 18'. Above is a sloping triangular top with a triangular headpiece over, inscribed '132 / LONDON'. The milepost is on the west side of what was formerly a turnpike road controlled by the Alfreton and Derby Turnpike Trust.'
