Full Description

The 1st ed. 25" OS map of c. 1880 shows a Primitive Methodist Chapel on Slade Lane. (1) It had been enlarged by the end of the 19th century (2) and was still in use in the early 20th century. (3) It was decided to build a chapel on Slade Lane in 1864 at a cost of £190. The congregation in 1891-1900 time was 150-200 with 80 lettable seats and 120 free seats. The congregation became less after the 1940's and the decision to close Slade Lane was made in 1966. The chapel was demolished in 1993. (4)
