Full Description

The Primitive Methodists have a chapel that was erected in 1847, which will seat about 100 persons. (1) The 1st edition 25" OS map c. 1880 shows a small Primitive Methodist Chapel on Derby Road, Hilton. (2) The chapel had been rebuilt and enlarged by the time of the 2nd ed. OS map c. 1900. (3) The Primitive Methodist Chapel in Hilton was rebuilt and enlarged in 1888. (4) Examination of modern maps show that the chapel survives although its current use is not known [2009]. (5)
