Full Description

The 1st ed. 25" OS map shows a small Primitive Methodist Chapel on Main Street, Biggin, Hartington Nether Quarter. (1) The chapel was still in use at the beginning of the 20th century and was extended or rebuilt by the time of the 3rd ed. OS map c. 1910. (2, 3) Examination of modern maps indicate that the chapel is now a private residence. (4) The Primitive Methodist Chapel in Biggin has a three bay front of ashlars and an original gabled porch dated 1850. (5)
