Full Description

The 1st edition 25" OS map of c.1880 shows a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on Back Street, Castleton. (1) The chapel was still in use at the beginning of the 20th century. (2) By the 3rd edition OS map of c.1910 the chapel had gone out of use. (3) Examination of modern maps indicate the building is still standing but its current use is not clear. (4) The Wesleyan Methodists have a chapel in the village, built 1809. (5)
