Full Description

The Primitive Methodist Chapel, Water Lane, Bakewell is not marked on the 1st or 2nd edition OS maps c. 1880 -1900 but documentary sources indicate that the building was being used as a chapel in the latter part of the 19th century. Examination of modern maps indicate that the building is still standing and being used as commercial premises. (1) The present church in Water Lane is a suitable and homely structure. (2)
