Full Description

The field south of Slinter Tor is shown as containing 'Old Shafts (Lead)' on a late 19th century OS map, as is that slightly further to the south-west, on the north side of Alabaster Lane . (1) Lead mining pits and spoil heaps were identified at SK 2889 5704 within two fields of rough pasture during survey in 2008. (2)
