Full Description

Site is shown as 'Old Quarry' on a late 19th century OS map. (1) A disused quarry on the Chevin, to exploit the millstone grit of the ridge, was identified at SK 3368 4608 during survey in 2008. There is no public access to the quarry, which is cordoned off with metal fencing. (2)
